“ This restaurant has two main items that put it at the top of my list: the type of food - 1. Mexican restaurant (Tex-Mex, whatever) and their location - 2. next door to COSTCO. Who could ask for anything more? okay, so you could, but this is my review. I loved the summer atmosphere inside the restaurant, dark and cool. Beautiful music was lightly playing in the background, alternating between songs in Spanish and English. We were greeted as soon as we made our entrance. Our greeter (host) was also also our waiter, which is very convient for us. Also, I need to mention that we were also the only customers in the restaurant, at 3pm on a Tuesday. We selected a booth, which we discovered as we sat down, had well worn seats. Our chips, salsa, glasses of water, and margaritas (check the name of the restaurant) were quickly placed on our table. (Any restaurant that has the name of a drink in their name, I must try that drink.) We had the Fuzzy $5 small margaritas. I did not taste the fuzz in my drink, or even a buzz in my drink, with the first one. The margaritas tasted more like a Tequila slushy, with salt on the rim. I had the steak and chicken fajita plate (pictures included). The refried beans and the rice needed flavoring because they tasted bland. I would suggest more lard for the refried beans, but since I am not a Tex-Mex Chef I will not offer any suggestions. The chicken and steak did have a great flavor, as did the guacamole. Of course the lettuce was lettuce, what more can you expect from lettuce? Our service was exceptionally good, and our drinks were quickly placed on our table. Such exceptional service may have some correlation to the fact that we were the only customers in the restaurant. My wife had the carnitas (chunks of pork), and she enjoyed the flavor of her carnitas. We both enjoyed our dining experience at the Cancun Mexican Bar & Grill and we thought the lunch meals at $10 each were a reasonable price to pay and the $5 small margaritas were also reasonable. As our meal progressed, our $5 margaritas became even more reasonable. I don't know if it is the food or the drinks that attract me to Tex-Mex restaurants, maybe both. One more item to mention, we had 5 corn tortillas, instead of the normal 3 that we are usually served at a Tex-Mex restaurant. ”
